Reflexology

Reflexology - Foot chart

Congestion or tension in any part of the foot mirrors congestion in a corresponding part of the body. Treating the whole foot can have a relaxing and healing effect on the whole body.

What happens when I go for a Reflexology treatment? On the first visit, your Reflexology practitioner will have a preliminary talk with you to determine your present and past health and lifestyle.

The Reflexologist will then use their hands to apply pressure to the feet. The application and effect of the therapy is unique to each person.

The touch is firm and is neither painful nor ticklish. Most people find it is very relaxing.

How can Reflexology help me? Reflexology does not claim to cure or diagnose. But it has been shown to be effective for many conditions, including:

  • Stress and Tension
  • Digestive disorders
  • Back & Neck pain
  • Arthritis

  • Sinus problems
  • Asthma & Hay fever
  • Headaches & Migraines
  • Immune disorders

How many treatments will I need? Whilst there are often immediate improvements experienced from Reflexology, you should generally expect to have 3-4 treatments to see a more significant benefit. Generally, the longer a condition has been present, the longer it will take to respond.

Some people use Reflexology as a preventative measure and have regular treatments to keep their body balanced and ensure they are able to fight off illness.

Our Reflexology therapist is Carly Cheeseman. Carly Cheeseman, our Reflexologist Carly trained at Kingston College for a VTCT Certificate in Reflexology; she is a Full Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists. She also performs Swedish Body Massage, Manual Lymph Drainage, Indian Head Massage and Reiki.

The treatment cost is £30 per session of approximately 1 hour.
